Noon Winery V.P. is not made every year, only when conditions are right.
The V.P. is a single vintage fortified wine. Its grape varieties vary between releases: in 2006 it was made with Grenache, in 2016 Shiraz and in 2020 Graciano and Mataro.
Fermentation takes place in small open vats with regular hand plunging. Two thirds of the way through fermentation, the naturally sweet juice is pressed and fortified with a brandy spirit.
The wine is then matured for 18 months in small oak barrels prior to bottling.
Deep red purple, Noon Winery V.P. is full flavoured without being overly sweet. It is dark, rich and inviting. Enjoyable chilled as an aperitif.
Cellaring potential is 10 years.
